Jonathan M. Cook was a high school English teacher in rural Illinois for fifteen years, serving eight of those years as a department chair. He completed his doctorate in 2025 and now works as an instructional designer and adjunct instructor for Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, true crime documentaries, and long walks with his pitbull, Ellie.
