4.  Think outside the box! Creativity if something my kids are never short on but we often don’t have time in the classroom to explore this skill. Set up a center with recycled items (boxes, yarn, magazines, paper towel rolls, etc.) and allow students to create. They can write the steps necessary to make their creation, write a letter to a company about why they should invent their creations, or make a journal entry about the use of their invention.
