First Lady Melania Trump hosted the second White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education meeting urging responsible guidance.

First Lady Melania Trump convened the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Education last week, bringing together Task Force members and private sector leaders to discuss the future of AI in American schools and industries.

“I predict AI will represent the single largest growth category in our nation during the Trump Administration—and I won’t be surprised if AI becomes known as the greatest engine of progress in the history of the United States of America. But, as leaders and parents we must manage A.I.’s growth responsibly. During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children—empowering, but with watchful guidance. We are living in a moment of wonder, and it is our responsibility to prepare America’s children,” said First Lady Melania Trump in her remarks.

The meeting marks the second gathering of the Task Force since President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order on Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth on April 23, 2025. Today’s event highlighted the more than 135 pledges from private companies and organizations committed to supporting A.I. education across the nation.

The First Lady’s involvement reflects her broader advocacy on issues impacting children and youth. Through her BE BEST initiative, she championed bipartisan support for the TAKE IT DOWN Act, signed into law in May 2025, aimed at strengthening protections for children online.

The First Lady has also made headlines for her personal embrace of A.I. She used A.I. technology in the audiobook version of her New York Times bestselling memoir, Melania. More recently, on August 26, she launched the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge, a nationwide competition encouraging K-12 students and educators to “unleash their imagination and showcase the spirit of American innovation” by registering at AI.gov.

With A.I. positioned as a central focus of the administration’s education and economic agenda, today’s meeting signaled the White House’s continued effort to integrate artificial intelligence into classrooms while ensuring responsible growth and ethical use.
