After working in two urban schools districts, one in Memphis and one Georgia, Franchesca Warren decided it was time to write about what really happens within schools. In 2012 she developed the site, The Educator's Room, to help give a voice to the real experts in the classroom- the teachers. Slowly word began to get out about the impact The Educator's Room was having on supporting teachers and within a year T.E.R. has a loyal membership of over 14,000 members. She is the author of "Behind the Desk: How I Survived my First Ten Years in Education" and she currently travels the country helping empowering teachers.
Welcome! I'm Franchesca Warren. I taught high school for 13 years and currently work as a learning consultant and instructional coach based in Atlanta, Ga. I created this site in 2012 because I love not only collaborating with other teachers, but I wanted to build a network that shows that teachers are the experts in education. Please join our community of over 30 educators as we write about what's really going on in our classroom!
