Everyone has those days. In our profession it is tough because you still have 20+ little eyes and ears and bodies to keep engaged and active in learning. Our attitude and the environment we set up in the classroom impacts students learning, so it is important to know who to talk to, how to manage, and what to do when you have a bad day in the classroom. Know your needs and things that help you relax. Here is a list of quick, simple things you can try when you are feeling the stress of the world. <!--nextpage-->
Have a stash of goodies (chocolate, soda, munchies) to grab as a quick snack on your break <!--nextpage-->
Go for outside for a walk <!--nextpage-->
Google inspirational teacher quotes <!--nextpage-->
Watch Gerry Dee (or another comedian) on YouTube <!--nextpage-->
Find a positive—list three things to be thankful for <!--nextpage-->
Pick one student and make a difference in their day <!--nextpage-->
Do a random act of kindness for someone in your building <!--nextpage-->
Respectfully say no to the next thing you are asked today and say yes to time for you <!--nextpage-->
Find a quiet spot and listen to your inner teacher for five minutes <!--nextpage-->
Surround yourself with positive people! Don't take it personal but be curious about what others may be thinking, feeling and dealing with themselves! In addition, wonder why you are reacting this way when you are stressed. <!--nextpage-->
Sing, laugh, dance, be silly and remember tomorrow is a new day! <!--nextpage-->
Thank you!!! After the last few weeks, I needed this!
