  1. I cannot tell you how many times a parent showed up on the last day of school for seniors,(graduation was that evening), and was furiously confronting all the teachers trying to bully them into passing them? Excuse me but where have you been for the past four years!

  2. September, kids are pretty geared up to see friends and excitement builds. October, Halloween and sugar replace protein. November Thanksgiving with family and lots of desserts. December Holidays are coming and stockings filled with more sugar than elves can carry. January a new year to start over from September. February Valentines’ day and the heartbreak of being jilted pacified with more sugar. March St Patrick’s day offers cookies and the beginning of Spring and its fever. April the bunny comes out of the hutch and plants chocolate all over the house and yard to be gobbled in one day. May brings about warmth and distraction of the birds and bugs flying in the school yard and the count down begins for June. Add to this, living with addicts, abusers and divorce and figure out what will be in the best interest of your class to get your lesson across. I believe that everyone should have to work at everyone else’s job for a week. Most people wouldn’t last in a classroom two days. And that’s in the first week of school.
