3.   I plan out my parent calls.  I call 5-10 parents daily, always first focusing on the parents I really need to speak with to the ones that I’m calling to deliver good news. Since I call during the day, parents either come directly to the school immediately after school or call me the next morning for more details. Since I use the first 20 minutes of my planning to call parents,  I try to keep the messages I leave detailed with a contact number (usually the school’s number) to reach before.
