4. Sleep on angry emails or confrontation. Warranted or not, administration is often the front-line recipient of our frustrations about the system. Write that angry email if it helps you process, but wait to send it until you read it over in the morning. Likewise if you plan to march into someone’s office–run it by a colleague first, or write out what you’ll say, breathe, and read it over.
