8. The ability to connect with other professionals in organized ways through social media. The first night there was an organized Tweet Up where participants from social media were able to connect to one another. Throughout the conference there were hash tags available so that the 10,000 participants could connect. Many times conferences don’t understand the power that social media has to be able to get their message out. During the conference I was able to learn about what was going on in sessions I didn’t make it to just by following the hash tag.
