Congratulations to Kathy B., our Stellar Educator of the Week!

Kathy was nominated by one of her students, who could not seem to find enough wonderful things to say about her!  We agree that Kathy is a truly stupendous teacher to have her students sing such praises and go to the effort of nominating her!

Here is some of what her student had to say about her:

Ms. B works in a very difficult school with high-risk students, and she has fabulous ideas!  She always is creative and she inspires all the kids to want to do their best.  She is a GREAT teacher!

Wow!  We have high praise for a teacher like Kathy, and we also admire her perspective and philosophy on teaching:

I believe that education is a lifelong process without a beginning or end.  As a teacher, I only hope to give my students the tools they will need to continue learning outside of the school setting, every single day of their lives, and that they eventually enjoy learning for the sake of learning.  I’m sure in 10 years when my students are entering the “real world,” they will not remember every poem they interpreted or essay they wrote in middle school, but the ability to do so will make them smarter and more prepared for whatever they choose to do.

We are grateful for all the students who will be prepared because of Kathy and teachers like her.  Kathy, you are a shining example of the kind of teachers we here at The Educator’s Room want to highlight for others to be inspired by – and we think YOU are a Stellar Educator!

Do you know a Stellar Educator in your building? If so, nominate them here. Every week a new educator is highlighted!
